WATANABE VS. LI FOR VACANT WBO ORIENTAL SUPER FEATHERWEIGHT TITLE IN HONG KONG OCT. 7

TAKUYA Watanabe of Japan will fight Lesham Li for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Oriental super featherweight title on October 7 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center in Hong Kong.
This was announced by promoter Jay Lau of DEF Promotions.
“It’s the main supporting bout of the championship fight between WBO International super flyweight champion Rex Tso and Kohei Kono,” said promoter Jay Lau of DEF Promotions.
Watanabe (32W-7L-1D, 17 KOs), a former WBO Asia Pacific super featherweight champion, previously won by a 3rd round technical knockout win against Terdchai Doungmontree last May 13 in Hong Kong.
Li, on the other hand, (13W-2L-1D, 8 KOs) has won all his last seven fights. His last victory was against Hyunsu Lee by a 3rd round TKO last July 8.
