The WBA has approved the rematch between Mexican WBA 108 “regular” champion Eduard Bermúdez and hard-hitting Venezuelan former titlist Carlos Cañizalez due to an injury sustained by unbeaten Japanese WBA 108 “super” champion 🇯🇵 Hiroto Kyoguchi.
Kyoguchi and Bermúdez were supposed to fight to unify WBA 108 belts.
The purse bidding for the Kyoguchi vs Bermúdez scheduled for January 28, it was suspended because the Japanese is in recovery from an injury, not being able to fight Bermúdez.
For this reason, the WBA Championships Committee allows Bermúdez to make a voluntary defense against former his foe Cañizales.
Bermudez dethroned Cañizales last year in Mexico. Now they will fight again. Who will win?
Whoever wins will have to battle Kyoguchi next.
If their clash is a draw, it will be the Mexican Bermúdez the one to rumble again the skilled Japanese.
