WBC Celebrates Boxing’s gradual return

Faced with the health crisis that is affecting the world, boxing and sport, in general, has suffered an unexpected blow, but it`s something that we must understand, with patience and calm.

This pandemic has affected economies worldwide, so we must adjust and cooperate plus innovate in many aspects.

After a pause, professional boxing returned to ESPN television screens on June 9th via Top Rank, presenting quality cards behind closed doors on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission and Top Rank, have impeccably carried out all the safety and health measures to guarantee the safety of all involved.

Another promoter who joined these efforts to return boxing safely is Zanfer, who through TV Azteca Mexico show “Volvemos con Punch,” has done successful editions of this program, which is broadcast live on Saturdays. also on ESPN.

We are sure that more promoters from around the world will join the efforts for a safe boxing return in this new reality that we are obliged to be living.

The World Boxing Council recognizes the passion and dedication that everyone involved in boxing’s return has made. And as a form of thanks, the WBC has presented commemorative medals to the main protagonists, our fighters.
