Two-time world champion Amir Khan, President of the WBC Middle East Continental Federation, has opened an office in Dubai, in order to further advance boxing in the region and continue to develop the sport for promising future generations.
Amir Khan and Tahir Taz lead this important Federation and are keen to bring important fights to this region.
The project is very close to Amir`s heart, as WBC Life President Don José Sulaimán, expressed his wish to him, that boxing is established and flourish in the Middle East. Now, it`s within reach of becoming a tangible reality.
Amir has experienced and achieved great deeds in his more than 20 years in boxing from the amateur sphere. He won an Olympic silver medal in 2004 at just 17 years old, then to the professionals where he won a lot of titles while taking on the best fighters of his generation.
Amir Khan has a strategic vision and strategy for the evolution and advancement of the sport, and his experience in all facets of boxing will provide a great, channeled, and focused boost plus impetus to the Middle East.
