The World Boxing Council recognizes as Honorary Champion Bridger Walker, a six-year-old boy from Wyoming, United States, who saved his sister from a dog attack, suffering severe injuries to the face and other parts of the body that required more 90 stitches.
Nicole Walker, Bridger’s aunt, published that on July 9 her nephew prevented his sister from being bitten by a dog, regardless of his own safety.
Upon learning the story, WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán immediately decided that a replica of the world champion belt will be sent to Bridger, as well as a series of presents for him and his sister.
At the WBC, we are truly and deeply honored to name Bridger as our Honorary Champion for his fantastically courageous actions that represent the very best and most valiant values of humanity.
