The World Boxing Council and its organizing committee recently announced that the Land of Smiles will be hosting the 59th annual World Boxing Council convention and 1st World Boxing Council Muay Thai convention on March 0f 2021.
The committee, spearheaded by WBC MuayThai Executive Secretary, Thanapol Bhakdibhumi, and Kevin Noone, Secretary-General; are targeting to convene former and current WBC boxing champions to include Muay Thai superstars. The activity’s courses include workshops for Muay Thai and Boxing ring officials, Committee meetings, WBC Ranking discussions and to give honor to the sport Muay Thai and boxing, several professional bouts in the said sports will highlight the event, including WBC Muay Thai World Championship title fights. WBC Muaythai has its own constitution, rules, and regulations, aiming to promote the sport and foster Muay Thai championship titles in all weight divisions.
Attendees will be offered wonderful insights into the rich culture and traditions of Muay Thai through Muay Boran. The show will display galleries and educational lectures will be parts of the inclusion.
Organizers are anticipating a fully-booked event despite the world pandemic as the organization is optimistic the current situation will better at year-end. The fact that Bangkok offers an affordable means in terms of accommodations and travel expenses makes the idea of holding it in Bangkok a probable one.
The event is scheduled to take part at the historic Chaopraya River of Bangkok.
