WBC University swots up - Fightnews Asia

The WBC Univesity has been working for two years to create a platform for access to boxing careers.

The very best specialists in all areas of boxing have taught under its learning umbrella, providing their lifetimes of experience and consummate skills. University Dean Xochitl Lagarda said: “We are convinced that this is something new for the sport. Technology is a new culture. We have incorporated the best experts.”

The WBC University University Webpage is already well established. There is a virtual classroom and each student has a tutor. There are different courses and each student can navigate from one course to another, as they progress. The same knowledge, values and ethics are shared. High school level diplomas lead on to university courses. It all started from an educational proposal from the heart of the WBC.

The WBC University has walked its walk and talked its talk! Since the pandemic started it has helped organize almost two hundred WBC talks online. The guests have included the most famous boxing champions, plus maestros and maestras from every area, nook and cranny of Boxing. The aim is to impart knowledge but also bolster and foster togetherness in this time of pandemic, because the WBC is a family of one hundred and sixty six nations.
