WBO #2 super bantamweight Cesar “Corazon” Juarez (21-5, 16 KOs) scored a ten round unanimous decision over Richard “The Beast” Pumicpic (19-8-2, 6 KOs) on Saturday night at the Auditorio Municipal in Los Cabos San Lucas, Baja California Sur, Mexico. Juarez dropped Pumicpic once in the bout as he takes aim at a world title shot.
“I want a rematch with Donaire,” proclaimed Juarez afterward. “We’re ready, I know I’ll defeat him more clearly and be crowned world champion!”
In the co-feature, local flyweight hero Israel ¨Jiga¨ González (16-1, 5 KOs) scored an eight round unanimous decision over former world champion Ramon García Hirales (20-9-1, 12 KOs). Hirales has now lost five straight fights.
