World ranked Jean Carlos “Lobo” Torres and Wilfredo “Bimbito” Méndez will share the main turns in the next edition of the series “A Puño Limpio”, which will return on Friday, March 8, at the Rubén Zayas Montañez Coliseum in a presentation of PR Best Boxing Promotions (PRBBP) in association with Spartan Boxing.
“We return with title fights in A Puño Limpio and with Trujillo Alto natives Lobo Torres and Bimbito Méndez facing important challenges on March 8 in their town, Trujillo Alto and our home, the Rubén Zayas Montañez Coliseum,” said promoter Iván Rivera, president of PRBBP.
In the main fight of the evening, the unbeaten Lobo Torres (14-0, 10 kos) will fight for the fourth consecutive time in his town and this time he will defend his WBO Latino title at 140 pounds against the experienced Argentine Juan Manuel Witt ( 33-0-2, 25 kos).
Torres, ranked #9 by the WBO in the junior welterweights, comes from three TKO wins over Travis Castellón, Luis Joel Gonzalez and Franklin Mamani, respectively, in 2018.
Meanwhile, the co main bout will have the #7 ranked and WBO NABO champion NABO at 105 pounds, Bimbito Méndez (11-1, 4 kos), facing the Asia Pacific WBO Youth champion and #1 ranked Robert Paradero (17-0, 11 kos), from Phillipines.
Méndez and Paradero will meet for the WBO Intercontinental title at 105 pounds. Méndez won his belt on September 28, 2018 when he defeated Axel Aragón by unanimous decision, while Paradero was crowned in April when he beat Royder Lloyd Borbón to win his title.
