Tony Bellew and David Haye hit the scale today ahead of tomorrow evening’s rematch at London’s O2 Arena.
Bellew stepped on the scale at 210.4lbs, just about three pounds lighter than he did for their first meeting last year.
David Haye also weighed-in lighter than last time, coming in at 220.2lbs and still looking physically primed for action (although there are plenty of questions about whether or not those are just show muscles and if his body will hold up in action).
“The scales were heavy, but no problem,” Bellew told Sky Sports News. “Weight is just a number.
”He really thinks I didn’t get in the ring with the real David Haye. Someone please show me who I was facing?
“With those muscles, those beautiful abdominals, that sharp haircut, those big pectorals – I’m sure it was him!”
Haye responded by assuring everyone that he’s fully fit for this fight and we’ll see a much better version of him in the ring.
“I knew my weight would be lighter, I feel healthy,” said Haye. I just wanted to make sure I’m fast, accurate and ready for battle.
“He thinks I’ve made a mistake, I disagree, I told him I’m a very different fighter to who he fought last time.
”People will see a prime David Haye, I’m ready for war!”
Bellew and Haye are officially ready to go for tomorrow night’s action, set to air on Sky Sports Box Office.
