Following the controversial draw between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, Wilder says he’s more interested in having an immediate rematch with Fury in order to settle the debate rather than pursue an April 13th fight against Anthony Joshua.
Wilder on what he wants to do next:
“I mean, it’s interesting right now because the heavyweight division is so lit. There’s a lot of things going on. You see I have my mandatory [Dominic Breazeale], he’s saying he got power, he want it as well too, so it’s a lot of exciting things going on in the heavyweight division…
On if he prefers to rematch Fury or go right into an Anthony Joshua fight:
“I’m going with Tyson Fury. Yeah, for sure. For sure. We gotta do the rematch. It gotta come right back, you know what I mean? It was a controversial fight and when it’s like that you gotta come back because it can’t be no draws. You know, it’s a winner and a loser…with that being said you gotta come back because I been traveling nonstop since that fight, it’s been stupid for me. Like, it’s been crazy [with all the media engagements]. So with that being said, you gotta have the rematch…”
