Will Kambosos vs Haney be Next

If WBC Lightweight World Champion Devin Haney (26-0) beats “Jo Jo” Diaz (32-1-1) tomorrow in Las Vegas, its very probably that boxing fans will be treated to George Kambosos vs Devin Haney for the unified WBA/WBC/IBF/WBO Lightweight World Titles… a perhaps in The Land Down Under, Australia, how about that

The two undefeated Lightweight world champions exchanged words during thursday’s press conference for Haney vs Jo Jo Diaz, and it seems that they’d love to get their fists on each other’s faces, and that will be OK for boxing fans.

The hot rumble would put on the line all the four 135-pound belts, getting for all of us the disputed Lightweight World Champion.
But for that to happen, Haney needs to handsomely defeat former 130-lbs champ Jo Jo Diaz first. Tomorrow.

Will Haney be able to do it?

Betting odds say yes, but in boxing we really never know.

How many thought that Teofimo would KO Kambosos (me included), and we all know what happened. It was Kambosos to come on top.

Or how about this: will it be the experienced big-heart Mexican-American Jo Jo Diaz the fighter with the set of kills and power to stop Devin Haney, dethroning him, shattering his Kambosos plans? Do you see that possible?

We’ll have to watch the fight. (Sunday morning here in Asia)

And how about the other star lightweights Gervonta Davis, Loma, Teofimo Lopez, and Ryan Garcia?

Gervonta Davis is defending Sunday (Monday morning here in Asia), against “The Pitbull” Cruz in a tough battle that Gervonta should dominate.

Loma clashes against world-ranked Richard Commey of Ghana next Saturday in New York in a difficult rumble in which Loma should beat the African warrior.

Meanwhile, Teofimo, who needs to lick his wounds (especially his big ego), have not immediate plans. Probably he will be back in the ring by middle of next year; and the most popular of all “Kingry” Ryan Garcia is still MIA, his many fans waiting for his return to action.

Haney vs Diaz is coming is in less that 24 hours (Saturday, Dec 4), at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, live worldwide on DAZN.
May the Best Man Win!
