After almost two years of dedication, effort, skills and passion, the winners of the MERCOSUR “José Sulaimán” amateur tournament, from Uruguay, came to Mexico to train in the CENAR high performance center.
They will spend approximately one month there, supervised and coached by a specialist team who will skills polish.
It should be noted that this sports scholarship is part of the awards that were presented to the winners.
Jonathan Herrera, Amilcar Vidal, Víctor Rodriguez, Alexander Domínguez and Sebastián Mila, arrived to Mexico City with the satisfaction of being winners but also with the humility to learn from the best masters in amateur boxing, in an area where only the athletes of high performance endeavor..
All of them expressed gratitude to WBC President Mauricio Sulaimán, promoter Sampson Lewkowicz and Sergio Marquez, who were key in achieving this dream.
Very Proud of their native country, the new amateur champions were clear in saying that Uruguay has a lot of talent, but that it is necessary to have more support and opportunities, just like this one.
