WBO #3, IBF #5 lightweight contender Jose Felix Jr. (35-1-1, 27 KOs) won his third fight of the year with a third round TKO over Alan Herrera (34-9, 22 KOs) on Friday night at the Sportsmen’s Lodge in Studio City, California. Felix dropped Herrera in round three, then got the stoppage with his follow up barrage. Referee Raul Caiz waved it off at 1:42.
Unbeaten WBO #12 welterweight and 2008/2012 Olympian Egis “The Mean Machine” Kavaliauskas (15-0, 12 KOs) of Lithuania had to work hard to win an eight round unanimous decision over Las Vegas journeyman Cameron Krael (8-12-2, 1 KO). Scores were 77-75 across the board.
Unbeaten Russian super lightweight Maxim Dadashev (4-0, 3 KOs) outpointed journeyman Eddie Diaz (2-6-2, 0 KOs) over six one-sided rounds. Scores were 60-54, 60-54, 60-53.
