World-ranked Chinese Flyweight challenger “The Tianshan Snow Leopard” Wulan Tuolehazi 乌兰托了哈孜 (Ұлан Төлеуғазы (15-4-2, 7 KO’s, on the right in the photos) of the Xibert Village in Xinjiang, China, and Japanese defending OPBF Flyweight Champion Taku Kuwahara 桑原拓 (12-1, 7 KO’s) of Yokohama scaled-in at identical weight of 112 lbs., (50.80 kgs), ahead of their important 12-rounder battle today, Tuesday July 11, at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.
The winner not only improve his standing in the world rankings, but also inches closer to a possible world title shot in the flyweight division.
The reigning WBC Flyweight World Champion is Mexican Julio Cesar “El Rey” Martinez (20-2, 15 KO’s)
Wulan, 30, is accompanied by his handler, award-winning promoter former Olympian boxer Liu Gang of Kunming, while Kuwahara, 28, is guided by Yokohama promoter Hideyuki Ohashi.
