Japan’s Nana Yoshikawa fights Mexican Delia Lopez for the World Boxing Council interim super flyweight title, this Saturday in Tecamac, State of Mexico, presented by Chacales Promotions with the support Erika Durán, Brenda Durán, Rector of the Polytechnic University of Tecámac and the State Network.
Nana Yoshikawa is not only focused on her career, but also In helping the community, as she considers Mexico her second home. After the earthquakes of September, she took on the task of collecting funds in her native Japan, to help the reconstruction in Mexico, explaining:
“We made a collection together with my work team in search of supporting the people of Mexico. Many joined our cause and we were able to collect a significant amount, as we want to do our bit and help the people who have received me with a lot of affection.”
Regarding her upcoming fight, she commented: “I’ve prepared very well. I’ll contest the WBC Interim World Championship, and it’s a very important step in my career. It’s my dream to win the green and gold title, so I really have to win this fight.”
In the co-main event of the night, Estrella “Chacala” Valverde will defend her WBC International Super Flyweight Championship for the first time.
