In an intriguing match-up, WBO Atomweight World Champion Yuko Kuroki 黒木優子 (21-7-2, 9 KO’s, on the right) of Fukuoka, Japan, battles visiting WBA 102-Pounds (46.26 Kilos) Queen Montserrat Alarcon (18-4-2, 6 KO’s) of Ciudad de Mexico for the Unified WBO/WBA Atomweight Titles today, Saturday August 5, in Kobe, Japan.

During Friday’s weigh-in, both women were successful in their first attempt on the sale. The Japanese fighting girl came-in at 45.9 Kilos, while the Mexican warrior made 45.6.

It will be the 3rd time that Montserrat Alarcon, 29, fights in the Land of the Rising Sun.

Her previous two battles in Japan have been wins.

Will she win again, this time claiming unified titles?

Or will the local fighter Yuko Kuroki, 32, be the one to conquer victory over the Mexican champ?

The fight is the 2nd title defense for Kobayashi, as well as his 3rd consecutive rumble against a Pinoy fighter.

In his two prior wars against a Filipino boxer, Kobayashi decisioned Marco John Rementizo of CDO, and then sopped in four Roslan Eco of Misamis.

Will the Boholano Amparo, 25, be the one to shatter the unbeaten record of Kobayashi?

Or will he be the 7thr pro win for the promising, hard-hitting 24-year-old Kobe-resident?
