ASIAN Boxing Federation [ABF] minimum weight champion John Michael ”Striker” Zulueta of Bacolod remained undefeated by beating Mike Kinaadman of Iligan by a unanimous decision last Oct. 28 in Gaisano Mall Bacolod.
Zulueta used his patented hit and run away to keep his title and record to 9 wins with zero loss and 2 draws. Kinaadman suffered his 8 defeat against 6 wins and 2 draws.
“Nagpapasalamat po ako sa aking mga trainers at boss sa kanilang suporta,’’ said Zulueta.
Games and Amusement Board [GAB] Commissioner Ed Trinidad awarded Zulueta a golden belt.
In the main supporting event, Paul Varona of La Carlota City, Negros Occidental beat Rommel Redondo of Bacolod by a unanimous decision.
The other results: Rodel Sioco beat Tomas Ribuset while Jerson dela Cruz knocked Ricky delos Santos in the second round.
The “Bakbakan sa Bacolod’’ boxing event was presented by Brico Santig of Highland Boxing Promotion and Juan Ramon Guanzon of the Guanzon Boxing Promotion in coordination with the city of Bacolod, Sports Development Program of Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
It was supported by the City of Bacolod, Singwancha Foundation, NIS, Rep. Greg Gasataya and the Masskara Festival of Bacolod.
