TWO vacant titles in the World Boxing Association (WBC) Asian Boxing Council are up for grabs on Saturday, January 20
Undefeated Kittithat “CP Freshmart” Ungsrivongs (7W-0L, 3 KOs) of
Thailand will be fighting Indonesian Agus Kustiawan (18W- 6L- 2D, 8 KOs) for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council featherweight title.
It will be supervised by Damrong Simakajornboon.
Also known as Wanchana Menayothin, Ungsrivongs captured the vacant WBC Youth Intercontinental super bantamweight title last year by knocking out Emanuel Nahak in the 5th round at the Siam Paradise Entertainment Centre in Bangkok.
He previously won a unanimous decision against Phum Kunmat last Dec. 15.
Kustiawan , on the other hand, won his last fight by a first round knockout against Sandip Kumar last May 24.
The other 12-round title fight is between Tanawat Nakoon of Thailand and Melianus Mirin for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council minimumweight title.
Surapote Pongjivanich is the supervisor.
Nakoon alias Satanmuanglek CP Freshmart (3W-0L, 1 KO) scored a unanimous decision against Sam Minh Phat last Dec. 15 to remain unbeaten.
Mirin (9W-3L-0D, 6 KOs) won his last five fights including a 5th round TKO against Silem Serang last Sept. 9 in Jakarta.
