3 OPBF TITLE FIGHTS ON JULY 30 IN OSAKA

THREE championship fights in the Oriental and Pacific Boxing Federation (OPBF) will all be held on July 30 at the Sumiyoshi Ward Center in Osaka, Japan.
This was announced by OPBF president Juan Ramon Guanzon of the Philippines.
Japan-based champion Mark John “The Journey Man” bYap (26-12-o, 12 KOs) of the Philippines will be defending his OPBF bantamweight title against Japanese challenger Kentaro Masuda (27-7-0, 15 KOs) while middleweight champion Koki “Muhammad” Tyson (12-2-2, 11 KOs) of Japan stakes his crown against American Brandon Lockhart Shane (8-5-1, 7 KOs).
Super welterweight champion Niwat Kongkan (8-3-0, 6 KOs) of Thailand will defend his title against 29-year old Japanese Jumbo Oda Nobunaga Shoten Petagine (10-4-0, 8 KOs).
Kongkan, who is also the WBC Asian Boxing Council super welterweight title holder, last defended his crown successfully via a 10th round technical knockout against Yutaka Oishi last April 22 at the EDION Arena in Osaka.
Tyson, on the other hand, knocked out Korean Sung Jae Ahn in the 4th round in his first title defense held April 16 at the Sumiyoshi Ward Center in Osaka.
The 28-year old Yap will be making his first title defense of the crown he took away from Japanese champion Takahiro Yamamoto via a 5th round TKO last November 11 at the Central Gym in Kobe, Hyogo.
