Former cruiserweight (200 pounds) ruler Krzysztof Glowacki (L) of Poland can’t wait to climb the ring to battle tough Briton Lawrence Okolie for the vacant WBO cruiserweight world title this coming December 12 at the famed O2 Arena in London, England.
The experienced 34-year-old former titlist Krzysztof Glowacki (31-2, 19 KOs) captured the WBO Cruiserweight world crown 5 years ago, beating Serbian-German “Captain” Marco Huck.
Glowacki defended that belt once against veteran former champ Steve Cunningham but lost it to undefeated Ukrainian sensation Oleksandr Usyk (17-0, 13 KO’s) in his own backyard of Poland in 2016.
Glowacki wants to be a champion of the world again and this December 12, he will have his chance.
On the other corner will be unbeaten 27-year-old Lawrence Okolie (14-0, 11 KOs) who reaches this first shot at the world title after knocking out Belgian Yves Ngabu in seven rounds to clinch the European belt.
The Okolie vs Glowacki war will unfold as one is the supporting attractions for the superb card headlined by the WBA/IBF/WBO Heavyweight World Championship battle between 30-year-old reigning king Anthony Joshua (23-1, 21 KO’s) and dangerous Bulgarian big man Kubrat Pulev (28-1, 14 KO’s).
This fantastic end of the year show in London is a promotion of Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom Boxing live on DAZN.
May the Best Men Win..!!
