Popular, world-class Filipino boxers Jerwin “Pretty Boy” Ancajas and Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo reunite in Los Angeles, California, USA, ahead of their crucial coming fights in America the Beautiful.
It has been an absolutely good idea from Manny Pacquiao’s MP Promotions to have two of its star boxers in camp together, especially during these tough days of training and preparation amid the treacherous spectrum of covid-19 in the U.S.
Thanks to the Pacman, the two Bisaya-speaking Filipinos can now help each other wonderfully, talk, train, and share about life and boxing. Indeed, this is just great.
In addition, successful and experienced Filipino coach Joven Jimenez will be assisting the Pinoy warriors.
Joven Jimenez’ care is reassuring and super fantastic as the savvy trainer has proven time and time again through the years that he is reliable and absolutely effective in his boxing work, not only during training and preparation stages; but also during fight time as able chief cornerman.
The 28-year-old Jerwin “Pretty Boy” Jerwin (32-1-2, 22 KO’s), from the Crown Jewel of Mindanao, Davao – the gwapo young Pinoy who is also an officer in the glorious Filipino Navy – will be sharpening his undeniable fighting skills ahead the 9th defense of his IBF Super Flyweight world title.
Meanwhile, world-ranked Featherweight Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo (20-0, 14 KO’s), who hails from the stunning sun-bathed paradise island of Bohol – is just a couple days away from his pivotal, door-opening televised main event battle against tough Mexican Rigoberto Hermosillo (11-2-1, 8 KO’s) this Sabado, October 3, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California.
His rumble will air live world-wide in primetime on Fox.
As we can all see, stakes are really high for both young men.
Therefore, the pressure of performing good must be there for them. And, even though they are both experienced battle-tested warriors, the blessing of now having each other eases the burden, and brings about the positive comradery that can deliver an additional psychological advantage so important in times of battle.
Best of luck to Jerwin and Mark. You make all of us proud. May God bless both of you.
