Japan`s Kenshiro Teraji, ably defended his World Boxing Council light flyweight title for the eighth time, this Saturday, by unanimous decision over his compatriot Tetsuya Hisada at the Edion Arena in Osaka, Japan.
Teraji, who hadn’t fought since December 2019, sent Hisada to the canvas with a lightning combination in the second round, taking over the pace of the fight for a comfortable and wide decision.
Kenshiro improved his record to 18 wins with 10 knockouts, no losses, while Hisada, who showed great heart during the match, was left with 34 wins, 11 losses, and two draws.
2,200 spectators were allowed into the event, which is less than 50% of the capacity of the Edion Arena; and all the health measures due to the pandemic were strictly observed.
