Suarez to fight Mancito in ‘Relentless’

DAVAO CITY – Undefeated Charly “King’s Warrior” Suarez of San Isidro, Davao del Norte will fight Eduardo “The Nightmare” Mancito of Jose Abad Santos, Davao del Sur on July 3 at the Urdaneta Cultural Sports Complex in Urdaneta City.

It will be the main event of the “Relentless” boxing showdown featuring 10 bouts.

It is promoted by Robert Hill of VSP Boxing and Cucuy Elorde of UKC Pro Boxing Edition with Edmundo Dellosa as the matchmaker.

Suarez (6W-0L-0D, 5KOs) who is coach by Delfin Boholst has already won two fights this year.

He first beat Jon Jon Estrada of Pasay by a unanimous decision last Feb. 13 in Panigui.

Suarez then scored a technical knockout in the 4th round over Pablito Canada of Pagadian City last May 1 at the Urdaneta Cultural Sports Complex.

Suarez miss a changes to see action in the Tokyo Olympics.

“Hindi na po kasi wala na pong qualifying ngayon (It’s not because you don’t have qualifying anymore)”, said Suarez.

He is currently 136 pounds. Suarez considers the 28-year-old Mansito (18W-11L-2D, 9KOs) as the toughest opponent so far.

“Opo lahat naman po ng kalaban ko para sakin matinik at magaling po, (Yes, all my opponents are thorny and good for me)”, said Suarez.

Suarez practice himself at his own private gym in Manila. But he goes out to the other gym for a sparring session.

“Opo dumadayo po (Yes, I’m visiting)”, said Suarez.
