Former World Boxing Council bantamweight female champion Catherine Phiri of Zambia returns on December 2nd against Kenya’s WBC super bantamweight champion Fatuma Zarika.
After losing her belt against Mexican Mariana “Barby” Juarez, Phiri is ready and raring to return, but now one division higher.
The bout will take place on December 2nd at Carnival Gardens, Nairobi, Kenya. Zarika has a record of 43 fights, 29 wins with 12KO´s, 12 losses and 2 draws.
She won the WBC’s green and gold title by defeating legendary champion Alicia Ashley last year.
