Hughie Fury, out of action since his narrow loss to Joseph Parker last September, is all set to return to the ring on May 12th, challenging Sam Sexton for the British heavyweight title in Bolton.
Sexton (24-3, 9 KO), who beat Gary Cornish for the vacant title in October, wasstopped by Dereck Chisora, Dereck Chisora again, and David Price in his only major fights of note. Cornish was his first opponent since 2014 to have a winning record and is, alongside Michael Rogan when Rogan was a thing, his biggest scalp.
Fury (20-1, 10 KO) should smash him good. There really isn’t much more to say about it.
Did you know that Fury is still just 23, by the way? It boggles my mind that this gigantic man who I feel like I’ve been writing about for ages is three years younger than me. When did I get so old.
