“This is a dream come true”, said Rupprecht after the fight. “I have worked for the last ten years to get to where I am now. I have always dreamed about winning the green belt. Words cannot express how proud and happy I am. I want to thank my team, my fans, my promoter but also my opponent who put up a fantastic performance.”
Former WBC Amateur Champion Joana Pastrana was taken to the hospital after the fight and will leave Germany with a cast because she broke her right hand.
“We are very sorry for Joana and we wish her a speedy recovery”, stated promoter Jochen Pawlisch. “She was very strong, coming  very close to winning the fight, even though she had a broken hand. We are open to discussing a rematch, once Joana’s hand has healed. It was a great bout and I think everybody who saw it will want to see it again.”
