A bruising goodbye to Boxing for Cristian Mijares

Three times former world champion Cristian “Diamante” Mijares says goodbye to Boxing, despite being knocked out in the third round by Puerto Rican Wilfredo “Papito” Vázquez Jr, nevertheless concluding a wonderful career.

Cristian built a pro record of 59-9-2, 27 knockouts, in a twenty four years professional, stint, to be remembered,  as a Great of the lower weight divisions.  While Wilfredo Vázquez Jr improved to 25-7-1, 20 knockouts.

The World Boxing Council salutes Cristian Mijares, wishing him great success in his life and in his future plans.
