Aguelo wins by 5th round KO

DAVAO CITY — Philippine Boxing Federation (PBF) lightweight champion

Adones “Singwangcha” Aguelo of Mandaue City landed a 5th round

technical knockout against Jimmy Borbon of Roxas City last Aug. 13 at the

Maasin City Sports City in Maasin City.The 31-year old Adones survived a

head butt in the 4th round and instead pummeled his opponent with a

mandatory 8-count. Borbon also survived the count and the fight

continued.But Adones landed a head and a body punches in the 5th round

to stop fight. Adones improved his 22nd knockout win and his 32nd victory

against 20 lost and 2 draw.Meanwhile, welterweight Boyse “Astro Boy”

Sultan of Cebu settled a unanimous decision to Tagbilaran’s Rufino Mante in
