Anthony Mundine, the controversial Australian fighter who returns tomorrow against Tommy Browne, says he wants just one more year and three more fights in boxing, and a shot at either Jeff Horn, or one of the top middleweights.

Mundine, 42, blames hip ailments for his struggles in recent years. He’s lost three of his last four and his 3-3 in his last six, dating back to a 2013 loss to Daniel Geale. His last two fights have been defeats, to Charles Hatley and rival Danny Green.

But Mundine still generates interest and if he gets a win tomorrow, a fight with Horn, a 29-year-old welterweight titleholder, would be worth money in Australia.

“To help boxing in this country and catapult it to the forefront, we’ve got to fight. If he’s willing I’m able….if he wants it he can get it.

”But if he doesn’t then I just want to go out and try and fight the best, whether that’s Billy Joe (Saunders), (Canelo) Alvarez or even (Gennady) Golovkin.”

The Horn fight makes sense, because it can make dollars. The other three? Not so much. None of those guys are going to go to Australia to fight Mundine, and Mundine is really only viable at home. Mundine (47-8, 23 KO) tried to come to the United States back in 2012, fighting Bronco McKart in Las Vegas, and drew a miserable 286 paying fans. His star hasn’t exactly risen since
