Latvian warrior Mairis Breidis (27-1, 19 KO’s) Defeated tough Cuban titlist Yuniel Dorticos (24-2, 22 KO’s) via majority decision to claim the WBSS Cruiserweight tournament, as well as the IBF 200-pound world title and the Mohammad Ali Trophy Saturday in Munich.
It was a hugely successful and rewarding evening for Bredis who gets to be a cruiserweight world champion again.
Scores were 117-111 (twice) | 114-114, a majority decision victory for the 35-year-old Breidis, the first Latvian boxing world champion.
