INTERIM OPBF female featherweight champion Nurshahidah “The Sniper” Roslie of Singapore and Sumanthar Baenkham of Thailand both made their weights today for their championship fight tomorrow for the vacant PAT International female featherweight crown at the Ram 100 Thai Boxing Stadium in Ramkamhaeng, Bangkok.
Both tipped the scales at 126 lbs. for their 8-rounder title fight promoted by Supanat Chanram and Brico Santig of Highland International Boxing Promotions.
The 30-year old Roslie (7-1-0, 5 KOs) is also the current WBC Asian Boxing Council female featherweight title holder. She previously stopped Siriphon Chanbuala by a 3rd round knockout last Sept. 23 at the Le Danz Ballroom in Singapore to capture the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council female featherweight and interim OPBF female featherweight.
The 17-year old Baenkham also known as Nongourn Por Niramon has a record of 3-3-0.
She is coming from two straight victories. Baenkham first beat Suwanun Antanai by a unanimous decision last August 27 then outpointed Jantima Tansimi also by UD last Sept. 30 in Bangkok. (LITO DELOS REYES)
