“BARBY” VOWS TO CROWN “PRINCESS” FROM A GREAT HEIGHT

By WBCboxing.com

WBC  bantamweight champion Mariana Juarez, will be defending her crown for the fourth time on Saturday, this time against Costa Rican, Carolina “Princesa” Arias, armed with lofty ambitions to distance herself.

Mariana conquered the belt in an historic card presented at the Mexico City Zocalo on April 1 2017, defeating tough Zambian  Catherine Phiri. Now Mariana faces a different style and is determined not to be caught short!

“Since she is small, whenever she attacks, she goes forward. Due to her lack of height she must come forward.  Accordingly, I know how to use my distance, and we`ve been  practicing  that a lot.”

A tall order, but utterly undaunted challenger Carolina ‘Princesa’ Arias plans to become the second world monarch of her country, pledging:  “This Saturday, I`ll make history, becoming the first woman in Costa Rica to wear that green and gold belt!”!
