The June 23 fight between WBC super featherweight titleholder Miguel Berchelt and challenger Jonathan Victor Barros is fully set for Berchelt’s hometown of Merida, Mexico, and the fight will stream live on ESPN+.

Berchelt (33-1, 29 KO) won the belt in January 2017 from Francisco Vargas on HBO, and made his first defense on the premium network, too, defeating mandatory challenger Takashi Miura six months later in July 2017.

Last time out, he went through various potential opponents before finally facing and beating Maxwell Awuku via third round stoppage on February 10 in Cancun.

Barros (41-5-1, 22 KO) held the WBA “world” featherweight title back in 2010-11, beating Irving Berry for the vacant title in 2010 and losing it to Celestino Caballero about 10 months later. This will be his third straight fight outside of Argentina. He beat Satoshi Hosono in Japan in October 2016, before going to the United Kingdom and losing to then-IBF titleholder Lee Selby in July 2017.
