“BOXING BLAST IN GENSAN” ON DEC. 17

DAVAO CITY  – The MP Promotions will have its year-ending boxing presentation dubbed as the “Boxing Blast in Gensan” on December 17 at 1 p.m. at the Robinson’s Place in General Santos City.

Undefeated Genesis “Cobra” Libranza (10wins, 7 KOs) of MP Stable Davao will be fighting against Ronerex Dalut (9 wins-19 losses-2 draw-2 KOs) of Gensan for 10 rounds in the main event.

The 23-year old Libraza, a native of Bayugan, Agusan del Sur previously scored a 3rd round technical knockout against Jetly Purisima last June 24 at the Almendras gym in Davao City.

Dalut, 27, is coming from 2nd round knockout loss from the hands of former world champion Edrin Dapudong last August 27 in Kidapawan City.

Dalut is a veteran of five championship fights – vacant Philippines Boxing Federation (PBF) super bantamweight title, PABA bantamweight title, WBC Asian Boxing Council flyweight title,WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental super flyweight title and PABA super flyweight title. Dalut, however, was not lucky in all five title-fights.

Twelve other bouts will also be featured under the sanction of the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Southern Mindanao headed by OIC Arlene Olondrez.

Undefeated bantamweight Vincent Astrolabio (6 wins-5 KOs) of Gensan will face veteran Renante Suacasa (7-18-0-1 KO) of Koronadal City in the main supporting bout.

The other 10-rounders will pit flyweight Michael “Chieftain” Bravo (10-1-0-3 KOs) of Kidapawan City against Surigao del Sur;s Ian Ligutan (6-5-2-3), Rene Mark Cuarto (9-1-0-4) versus Zamboanga del Norte’s Gerald Paclar (7-3-1-4), Orlie Silvestre (6-3-1-5) against veteran Rodel Tejares (20-40-7-5) of Bukidnon and Ronnie Baldonado (7-0-1-4) versus Cotabato’s Raymund Dayham (8-7-1-7).

Also seeing action are Aries Buanavidez against Lino Antaran (8 rds.-112 llbs.), Joel Lino vs. Joey Antonio (8 rds.-106 lbs.), Vincent Dayaganon vs. Dave Maningkil (6 rds.-108 lbs.), Jing Aguan vs. Holy Quinones (4 rds.-122 lbs.), Joebert Torena vs. Rio Galiputan (4 rds.-108 lbs.), Vince Paras vs. Jeffrey Alejandre (8 rds.-108 lbs.), Garyn Diagan s. Jimbo Namion (4 rds.-105 lbs.).
