Canelo Álvarez’s Coach Nominated to “Mexican Trainer of the Year” Award

Eddy Reynoso, the long-time coach of Mexican world champion Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez, has been nominated to receive Mexico’s 2020 National Sports Award in the coach category.

Reynoso has led “Canelo” to become one of the strongest and most successful world champions in today’s boxing, many fans considering him as the best pound for pound boxer on the planet.

In addition to Canelo, Eddy Reynoso has also coached other exciting Mexican champions such as Luis “Pantera” Nery and Óscar Valdez.

The Mexican Boxing Federation was the one in charge of submitting the nomination of Eddy Reynoso, who inherited the boxing school from his dad José “Chepo” Reynoso.
