World Boxing Council Female Bantamweight champion, Catherine Phiri, from Zambia, is appointed as an ambassador for UNICEF.
Phiri, a great athlete and proud of her beautiful country, will use all her resources and energy to improve the living conditions of the most disadvantaged in society, through the organization of events to raise funds, awareness, encouraging children and young people to pursue their dreams.
The WBC and its president, Mauricio Sulaiman, congratulate Catherine for her tremendous heartfelt support and for being such a proud representative of the Green and Gold belt.
