CECILIA BRAEKHUS, THE FIRST WORLD CHAMPION ON BEING PRESENTED WITH THE BRAND NEW WBC FEMALE BELT

Last March 18th  during the outstanding card presented at the Madison Square Garden in New York, the multi world champion Cecilia was presented with the  brand new WBC female world champion belt. This new belt has a new plaque with the same size of the regular belt but it is surrounded by a pretty pink color.

Cecilia Braekhus, who is considered among the best pound for pound fighters by many , has an undefeated  record of 30 wins  with 8 KO´s.

She was born  in September 28, 1982, in Colombia, but she is based now in Norway. She started on the contact sports as a kick boxer; she even won 3 national, 1 European and 1  International Tournaments .

Despite the different opinion of her parents, Braekhus started boxing for becoming one of the best boxers in all history. With only 20 years old she debuted as amateur, forming a record with 75 victories and 5 losses. During the Russia world tournament, she conquered the 63 kg.  Silver belt.

In January 20, 2007, she made her pro debut defeating Ksenija Koprek by UD. Since then, the current WBC welterweight champion, has formed a brilliant career.
