Juan “Churritos” Hernandez and Gánigan “Maravilla” López are already in Japan, itching to defend their respective World Boxing Council flyweight and light flyweight championships on Saturday night against unbeaten Japanese challengers Daigo Higa and Ken Shiro , at the Ariake Colosseum of Tokyo.
This Thursday all main protagonists attended to a press conference where the Japanese challengers audaciously claimed the WBC world titles will stay in Japan.
Ten out of ten for Higa. So far so good, with 12 wins…all KO`s. But Churritos, with just two losses, is by far the more seasoned and experienced.
And skilled southpaw Gánigan, also will face an undefeated rival Ken Shiro who has 9 victories and 5 KO´s.
