The card will be broadcast live by Televisa Deportes. “Chihuas”, pride of Santa Catarina, Nuevo León, was double world champion in the minimumweight division ; and he is aiming for the WBC flyweight belt, which was conquered by Daigo Higa last weekend.
Cantu is also known for his warrior style. He has won NABF, USNBC and NABF youth world titles in the flyweight and super flyweight divisions
The Much anticipated clash between Rodriguez and Cantu heads the card organized by Promociones del Pueblo, along with Cancun Boxing of Pepe Gómez and Boxing Time of Memo Rocha, with the support of Cavall Sport and Playboy Mexico.
