CLIFFHANGER 2N1D IN ACAPULCO

This weekend World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman  traveled to Acapulco, for the tournament Two Nations One Dream of Acapulco vs 2N1D Mexico City.

It`s now clearly recognized and realized  that Acapulco  has the potential to produce a new crop of  tremendous champions,  after witnessing the quality bouts  in the gym, which proudly bears the name of Jose Sulaiman.

At the Jorge Campos Sports Unit, Mauricio Sulaiman commented: “The program was created, as there are a lot of migrant communities in Chicago, originally from Guerrero, so we are looking to bring them together through boxing.”

Mayor Evodio Velázquez, along with Mauricio Sulaiman Saldívar and the representative of the foundation “Reconstrucción Ciudadana”, Javier Solorio Almazán, presented sports equipment including punching bags, speed balls, pads, headgear,  gloves and  a boxing ring.

The event also included the unveiling of murals in honor of Don José Sulaiman and Mauricio Sulaiman, as well as boxers Marcos Villasana Muñoz and Candelario “Changuito” Carmona, among other great champions of Guerrero.
