Argentinian, David Emanuel Peralta, served up quite a  surprise, beating the odds  by defeating former world champion, Robert “Fantasma” Guerrero, in  the main event at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, USA.

This match was organized by TGB Promotions, and was broadcast to US via  Spike TV.

A noted and seasoned warrior,  Guerrero started as the firm  favourite. However Peralta “Performed out of his socks,”  to place himself in the driving seat,  landing accurate punches on Guerrero.  During round nine, Peralta sent Guerrero into the ropes with a powerful right hand.

Peralta  got the victory with scorecards of 115-113 and 116-112 while the third judge scored 115-113 favoring Guerrero. With this result, Peralta improved his record to 26-2-1, with 14 KO´s, while “The Ghost” Guerrero left the arena with a record of 33-5-1, including 18 KO´s, vowing to be back with a win.

On the undercard, Freddy “Riel” Hernández surprised Alfredo “Perro” Angulo, defeating him via a  UD.

The two Mexicans offered a good fight, toe to toe, but   Freddy was more ready and, by far the niftier on his pins, so  the opening rounds went his way.  However, Angulo valiantly gained back  some ground in the middle rounds but, couldn`t sustain the momentum, looking sluggish.

Hernández won  victory with the scorecards of: 98-92, 97-93 and 97-93,  to improve  his record to 34-8. While  Angulo slipped to 24-6, with 20 KO´s.
