Englishman Akeem Ennis-Brown will defend his Commonwealth and BBB of C super lightweight titles, Saturday, fighting compatriot Sam Maxwell, top of the bill, at the Birmingham Arena, in the West Midlands, United Kingdom.
After a year of inactivity, Ennis-Brown (14-0, 1 knockout), will return, defending his titles and his undefeated record, against also unbeaten Maxwell (15-0, 11 knockouts ).
Ennis-Brown last fought a year ago when he defeated Philip Bowes by decision in 12 rounds.
His activity has been diminished by the pandemic, but this Saturday he will have an interesting challenge against a heavy-hitting opponent in Maxwell.
In his last fight last March, Maxwell defeated Ben Fields but will have to really exert himself to beat a highly technical rival.
The fight is presented by promoter Frank Warren’s Queensberry Promotions and will be broadcasted on BT Sport.
