EXQUISITE DON ADOLFO LÓPEZ MATEOS BELT

The magnificent Don Adolfo López Mateos WBC belt is almsot ready, for the World Boxing Council to present to the winners of the fights commemorating the  Battle of Puebla on May 5 and on September 15 Day Of Independence.

Luis de la Cruz, the Huichol artist has devoted his life to this unique masterpiece. Encapsulated  in the emblematic sash is the message divinely onpassed to  him, encapsulating the origin of life.

The artist, Fernando Montilla emphasized the artistic value of this work, which, is invaluable and priceless, since in each of his designs includes the whole meaning of this rich culture, its traditions and, more importantly the universe and its inception is embodied throughout the very thread of its fabric.

This colorful belt will bear the name of the former President of Mexico, Adolfo Lopez Mateos, honoring  him as this body was founded thanks to his efforts. He was a true passionate devotee and disciple  of boxing, after taking part himself as an amateur.
