Venezuelan Keiver Fernandez and Nicaraguan Keyvin Lara will fight for the World Boxing Association (WBA) Fedelatin Super Flyweight belt this Saturday night in Panama City.

Two young rivals with good records will meet in a clash for the regional belt of the pioneer organization from the facilities of La Bar 12.

Fernandez has made a good part of his career in the flyweight category, but he has also fought several bouts at Super Flyweight. He must prove that he is capable of winning an important fight in this division and this is the perfect opportunity for him. The 24-year-old South American is nicknamed “Chuky” and has won two fights in a row before this one.

On the other hand, the 26-year-old Nicaraguan comes from four straight wins. Lara is a former WBA-Fedecentro 115-pound champion and will now seek a new regional black and gold belt. He defeated his fellow countryman Ricardo Blandon in his last fight and is very motivated to visit Panama.

On Friday they will step on the scale and on Saturday night the first bell will ring. Fernandez has 22 wins, 1 loss, 1 draw, and 12 KOs, while Lara comes into the fight with a record of 30 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw, and 10 KOs.
