Daigo Higa is going to make the first defense of his title, which he conquered last May in Tokyo by knocking out Juan “Churritos” Hernández in the sixth round.
Meanwhile undefeated Japanese WBC light flyweight champion, from Kyoto, Ken Shiro (10-0 / 5KOs) and his Mexican challenger # 1 WBC world ranked and former world champion Pedro “Jibran” Guevara (30-2-1 / 17KOs) completed the official weigh in with the same weight of 48.7 kilograms, which is 200 grams below the limit.
