Anthony Fowler defended his World Boxing Association (WBA) International Welterweight title with a three-round KO against Jorge Fortea during their fight at Wembley Arena, in London.

The Britons showed superiority and dominance over the Spanish challenger to claim a resounding victory. The third round was all for the local and first connected a jab that surprised Fortea and sent him to the canvas. The Spanish got up with difficulty and received a right hand from Fowler that knocked him down again for the KO to be decreed after the referee’s count of 10.

Fowler not only made a great impression in this fight but showed that he is ready for better challenges and wants a world title shot. The 30-year-old fighter made the first defense of his regional belt and is firmly on his way there.

The Liverpool native now has a record of 14 wins, 1 loss, and 11 KOs, while Fortea improved to 21 wins, 3 losses, 1 draw, and 7 KOs.
