Sebastián Fundora proved to be ready for a world title shot and defeated Habib Ahmed with ease via second-round TKO during his World Boxing Association (WBA) Super Welterweight eliminator bout this Saturday night in Arlington, Texas.

In the co-main fight of the PBC Promotions boxing card, Fundora, a tall American fighter of Mexican descent, took advantage of his two meters (6.6 feet) height to keep the Ghanaian boxer away throughout the match and punish him at a distance.

The first round passed with a wide lead for Fundora, who hit hard with his left uppercut and hurt the African a couple of times. For the second round, the southpaw boxer worked at his will and the fight was stopped due to the barrage of blows from the North American and the null response of Ahmed.

Fundora declared that he was ready to fight for the world title and his performance in the ring was a big proof of that. The 22-year-old boxer won his 16th fight in his career while having a draw and 11 KOs. For his part, Ahmed downgraded his record to 27 wins, 2 losses, 1 draw, and 18 KOs.
