DAVAO CITY – Former Philippine Boxing Federation flyweight champion Arnold “Destroyer” Garde of Davao City will no longer go to Mandaue City to fight undefeated Mark “Thunder” Vicelles of Sultan Kudarat on Dec. 18 at the IPI Compound in Mandaue City.
This was confirmed by Garde’s elder brother Rodel, who is also a licensed referee by the Games and Amusements Board.
“Yes sir sabay onta ko,” said Rodel Garde in a Facebook message.
Emergency reasons why the 29-year old Garde could not make it to the second bubble boxing event in Mandaue. They were supposed to leave for Mandaue via Cebu today (Dec. 6).
“Personal ug family emergency reason sir,” (Personal and family emergency reason sir), said Rodel.
Meanwhile, Rodel keeps himself busy by accepting an on-line job with the boxing fitness in President Roxas, North Cotabato.
“On-line boxing fitness,” said Rodel, who is also a professional MMA fighter with a record of two wins and two losses.
Rodel has his own gloves, punch mitt and body protector.
“At least five to eight customers every day”, said Rodel.
