World Boxing Council middleweight champion Kazakh Gennady “GGG” Golovkin (37-0, 33 KOs) is determined to stem, snap and splinter the oak hard challenge of Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (49-1-1, 34 KOs), on Saturday night at the T- Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada, during the Mexican Independence Day weekend festivities.
“I don’t want to talk very much. This will be a great day for us and for boxing. It will be a historic fight. I’ll see you on September 16,” confidently pledged the champion, Gennady Golovkin.
“I don’t like to talk much either. I just want to tell you that I’m totally ready and prepared for this. I know it’s going to be a very tough fight. But, everything is set, ” sincerely promised. Saúl “Canelo” Alvarez, who’s already chipped in with a “Timber” KO prediction.
This Friday both fighters clambered on to the scales.
At the official weigh in, Golovkin weighed 160 pounds, while Alvarez was exactly the same!
